Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the repair, replacement, and other services ("Services") provided by Smartfix Repair, operated by PT Orion Solusi Digital ("Smartfix", "we", "us"), located at Jl. Majapahit No. 83, Kuta, Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia. By submitting a booking, accepting a quotation, leaving a device with us, or paying an invoice, you ("you", "the customer") agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen ("UUPK") or other applicable Indonesian law.
1. The Services we provide
Smartfix performs diagnostic checks, repairs, parts replacement, and related services on mobile devices, tablets, laptops, and similar electronic products. We rely on the information you provide about the device's history and condition. We may stop a job, recommend additional work, or decline service if we discover issues beyond the original scope, prior unauthorised repair, or damage that would make the repair unsafe or uneconomical.
2. Quotations, pricing & payment
- Quotations are estimates based on the initial inspection and may change if hidden faults are discovered.
- Material price changes are passed through to the customer at cost.
- Payment is due upon completion. We accept Cash, Bank Transfer, EDC, and QRIS.
- Devices will only be released once payment has been received in full.
3. Warranty
Where a warranty period is stated on the invoice, it covers manufacturing defects in the replacement parts we installed and faults in our workmanship only. The warranty period begins on the invoice date.
The warranty does not apply to:
- Physical damage, including drops, impacts, pressure, or screen breakage after pickup.
- Contact with liquid, moisture, humidity, or corrosion.
- Damage caused by power surges, unstable charging equipment, or non-original chargers.
- Faults caused by software changes, unauthorised modification, or further repair attempts elsewhere.
- Pre-existing faults unrelated to the repair we performed.
- Cosmetic wear and tear that does not affect device function.
Warranty claims must be made at our shop in Kuta with the original invoice or its public link. We reserve the right to inspect the device before deciding the claim. If a valid warranty claim is made, we will, at our discretion, repair the issue, replace the part, or refund the price paid for that part.
4. Refunds & cancellations
Smartfix is a service provider, not a retailer of new goods. We do not provide refunds on completed repair services, including refunds based on change of mind, second opinions, or because the customer no longer wishes to use the device. Refunds may be granted, at our sole discretion or where required by Indonesian law, in the following limited circumstances:
- You cancel a booking before any parts have been ordered or any work has begun.
- We are unable to complete the agreed service and no replacement parts have been installed.
- A duplicate or incorrect payment has been received.
- A valid warranty claim under section 3 cannot be resolved by repair or replacement.
- Refund is required under UUPK or any other applicable consumer law.
Approved refunds are processed within 30 working days from the date of approval. Refunds are returned via the original payment method where practical. Bank transfer fees, payment processor fees, or QRIS fees may be deducted from the refunded amount where the underlying provider has charged them on the original payment.
5. Your responsibilities before leaving a device
- Back up your data. Repair work may, in some cases, result in loss of stored data. We strongly recommend you create a backup before leaving your device with us. Smartfix is not liable for any loss of data, photos, contacts, messages, accounts, or settings except where caused by our gross negligence.
- Remove SIM cards, memory cards, and accessories you do not want left with the device.
- Disable lock-screen passwords, Find My iPhone / Google Find My Device, or provide unlock codes where required for diagnosis and testing. We cannot complete some repairs without this.
- Inform us if the device has been previously repaired, opened, exposed to liquid, or modified.
6. Pickup and unclaimed devices
Once your device is ready, we will contact you using the phone number or email provided. Please collect your device within a reasonable time after notification.
- Devices not collected within 30 days of completion notification may incur a storage fee.
- Devices not collected within 90 days of completion notification will be considered abandoned. After making reasonable attempts to contact you using the provided details, we may sell, recycle, or otherwise dispose of the device to recover unpaid charges and storage fees.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Indonesian law, Smartfix's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost business, lost profits, or loss of data. Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UUPK or other mandatory Indonesian law.
8. Privacy
We collect the personal details you provide (name, contact information, device details) solely to deliver the Services, contact you about your repair, and meet our legal obligations. We do not access stored personal data on your device unless necessary for diagnosis, and we do not share your details with third parties for marketing.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute arising from the Services will first be addressed in good faith between you and Smartfix. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be referred to consumer mediation under UUPK or, failing that, to the competent court in Badung Regency, Bali.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you book a service or accept an invoice is the version that applies to that transaction.

Notice on Indonesian Consumer Law. These Terms do not waive any non-waivable rights you have under Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen ("UUPK") or other applicable Indonesian regulation, including the prohibition under Article 18 of UUPK on standard contractual clauses that unfairly exclude business responsibility.
